10. One of my teeth has not grown. Can I have it replaced with an implant?

Each missing tooth can be replaced with an implant-borne one. It does not really matter
whether a tooth has been lost as a result of profound decay, injury, periodontosis
or it just has not developed. Placing an implant is the best option as it does not entail
the necessity of grinding down the adjacent healthy teeth, which remain intact.

Implants can only be installed in patients whose bones have undergone
a complete process of development. This is usually the case in patients
aged between 17 and 18, but requires radiological confirmation.
For this reason, we take a special X-ray picture which allows precise evaluation
of the phase of the bone development. We can start implantological treatmentonce
we have established that the bone is fully developed.

If a child has lost a tooth, (e.g. injury), their future implantological treatment
must be planned in connection with orthodontic consultation. This will secure
appropriate space for the new tooth despite the child's continuous development
and the changes it entails. Such an approach guarantees perfect reconstruction
of the missing tooth in the future. Lack of orthodontic treatment inevitably leads to
uncontrolled dislocation of the neighbouring teeth.
