Until recently having all teeth missing necessitated wearing a traditional
upper or lower denture, which was kept in place owing to its adherence
to the oral mucus membrane. Such dentures, the lower one in particular,
lack proper stability and tend to loosen and wobble during meal consumption.
As a result, patients feel considerable discomfort while eating even
the simplest foods, not to mention biting an apple, which is practically impossible.

Moreover, the chewing force is dramatically reduced leading to
poor grinding and digestion problems. The presence of a denture pad on
the palate affects one's ability to speak clearly and taste the foods eaten.
With the introduction of dental implants, the need to suffer from these
inconveniences has been eliminated and patients can again
enjoy the comfort and pleasure of eating any food they like.

The number of implants applied determines what kind (removable or fixed)
the new teeth must be.
