Until recently dentists relied on panoramic radiographs for the diagnosis preceding
implant placement. This diagnostic tool permits limited access to data required for
proper planning of the procedure. Since the introduction of computed tomography (CT),
it has become possible to gather extremely precise information on the condition of
the bone in all planes.

Now, the therapist has on the computer screen a cross-section image of the bone
in all three dimensions, which is essential for accurate diagnosing. The technique
does not only enable precise measurement of the bone size, but it also makes it
possible to establish the bone density. Having all the information on bone structure,
the dentist can perfectly select appropriate implants.

Implant therapy with the use of computed tomography is very reliable
and predictable. It also allows doctors to minimize the procedure.

The Digital Computer Tomograph we have in our clinic provides us with the possibility
of receiving more detailed data than those provided by any hospital device of this kind
and the level of radiation is comparable with the one a patient has to be exposed to
while having a conventional radiograph made.

Sanadent Clinic as the first clinic in Poland was equipped with
the Dental Digital Computer Tomograph.

(so far only a few others have been installed across the country).
